He was born in Nova Zagora, Bulgaria. He graduated from the Art Lyceum in Kazanlak (1968‑1972). He studied in the Fine Arts Academy of Sofia under Professor P. Panayotov (1973‑1979). From 1985 to 1991 he was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia. Since 1991 he lives and works in Athens.
